Clearspan Projects slogan “Framework for the future” clearly sets them apart as far as their specifically designed Industrial buildings are concerned. The clean lines and extra headroom, created by their own Portal frame reduces the overall height of the buildings, whilst still offering a well lit spacious interior. The building is insulated with Alububble, a Radiant Barrier which effectively reduces the amount of heat that is transferred into the building, adding to the thermal efficiency and therefore the total efficiency of their design.

Due to their attention to detail and astute understanding in their field of expertise, Clearspan Projects was awarded this project in partnership with RMB properties, the second one of this nature to be constructed in this Commercial Park in Midrand.

This impressive R50 million, 15 000m² Industrial project created an unforeseen challenge in the early stages of the project, when an enormous rock face was encountered on site, which had not been picked up in the Geo Technical Report. This obviously had not been budgeted for, however in spite of the setback the site team overcame the challenge, whilst maintaining their superior workmanship which is required by their client RMB Properties. Mr. Peter Hunter Director of this Turnkey Projects Company says that in spite of this the single phase project is still running on time and will be completed in September of this year.

Despite a projected slow down in industrial construction due to an economy under pressure, Peter reports that they have some new and exciting projects lined up in the future which includes both industrial and commercial sectors.
